Don't worry. There are always options for students who don't meet entry requirements. However, you might not be able to study at your first preference university.
Sometimes things don't go to plan. Or your subject choices haven't aligned with your university aspirations. This doesn't mean that you cannot attend university; it just means you may need to broading your options.
However, suppose you're currently making your pre-university choices. In that case, you should consider the subjects required for degrees such as Engineering, Medicine, and Life Sciences, which commonly have subject prerequisites at Level 3.
If you have your results and they're below the entry requirement, then you can enter Clearing with NCUK. Your NCUK Counsellor and the Student Support team work with universities to provide Clearing options for students who haven't met their entry requirements. These are excellent options at universities around the world that meet your current grade profile.
If you have the grades but not the prerequisite subjects, you might want to look at different courses or programmes that are sometimes referred to as 'conversion' courses, which usually don't require any sub-pre-requisite. On the other hand, if you still want to study subjects including, but not limited to, Engineering, Medicine, and Life Sciences. In that case, you might look to take some additional pre-university courses to ensure you meet the subject requirements.
No matter your situation, your NCUK Counsellor and the Student Support team will assist you in every step of your journey to university.
